Yes. Many communities do not discuss finances with potential residents. At Hermitage Roanoke, we include a financial and actuarial review for many reasons. Most importantly, we want to be sure residents can live on their terms and do not have to move again if they are blessed with longevity or if their level of living needs change.

Are Assisted Living communities licensed?

Yes. Assisted Living communities in the Commonwealth of Virginia are licensed through the Department of Social Services (DSS). In addition to being licensed by the DSS, Hermitage Roanoke is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Fewer than 15% of the communities in the nation are reviewed, approved and certified by CARF. We are proud to hold up this seal of approval for our residents and their families.
